Awareness Program on Road Safety, Cyber Awareness,
Anti-Ragging, Anti-Drugs at RVM Medical College
An impactful awareness program was conducted at RVM Medical College, Laxmakkapalli (Vantimamidi) on Tuesday, 31st March 2026, aimed at shaping a safe and responsible future for MBBS students.
The program was organized under the leadership of CP Siddipet, Ms. Rashmi Perumal, focusing on critical issues such as traffic rules, road safety, drunk and driving, cybercrime, misuse of mobile applications, helmet and seatbelt usage, over-speeding accidents, anti-ragging, and anti-drug awareness.
Addressing the students, Ms. Rashmi Perumal emphasized the serious consequences of drug abuse, explaining how what often begins as a casual habit among youth can gradually turn into addiction, ultimately destroying their health, careers, and future. She urged students to remain vigilant, informed, and responsible in their choices.
She also elaborated on the legal consequences of ragging, warning students about strict punishments under the law. Encouraging a positive campus environment, she advised students to treat their peers with mutual respect, brotherhood, and kindness, and to build healthy relationships.
In addition, she highlighted the importance of road discipline, stressing that students should never drive without a valid license and must strictly follow traffic rules. Detailed guidance was provided on safe driving practices, including the mandatory use of helmets and seatbelts, and the dangers of over-speeding and negligent driving.
