On August 15, 2024, RVM Medical College commemorated India's 78th Independence Day with a grand celebration. The event was meticulously organized under the guidance of Chairman Dr. Rajaboina Yakaiah, who personally invited the esteemed chief guests, Dr. Venu Madhav Kondle Physician from USA and his wife Dr Sabita Kondle is a psychotherapist and wellness service provider at USA

The day's proceedings began with a solemn flag hoisting ceremony. The national flag was unfurled by Dr. Venu Madhav Kondle, accompanied by Chairman Dr. R Yakaiah, the Dean, and other dignitaries. As the tricolor ascended, the gathering sang the national anthem with pride and patriotic fervor.

Following the flag hoisting, the event moved to the college auditorium for an interactive session. The audience comprised:

The interaction began with welcoming remarks from Chairman Dr. R Yakaiah, who introduced the chief guests and highlighted the significance of the day. He emphasized the college's commitment to excellence in medical education and its role in realizing the vision of a "Viksit Bharat" (Developed India).

Dr. Venu Madhav Kondle then took the stage for his address. His speech covered crucial aspects of national development:

1. Per Capita Income: Dr. Kondle discussed the importance of increasing per capita income as a key indicator of economic progress. He elaborated on India's current standing and the ambitious goals set under the "Viksit Bharat" vision for 2047

2. National Indices: The address touched upon various national indices measuring a country's development. Dr. Kondle highlighted India's progress in these areas and outlined the work still needed to achieve developed nation status.

3. GDP (Gross Domestic Product): Dr. Kondle emphasized India's GDP growth, its significance in the global economy, and the targets set for becoming a developed nation by 2047. He stressed the role of innovation, entrepreneurship, and healthcare in driving economic growth.

Following Dr. Kondle's speech, his wife Sabita Kondle addressed the gathering, focusing on personal development and social responsibility:

1. Empathy: She spoke about the importance of empathy in personal and professional life, drawing connections to healthcare and community service.

2. Sharing and Collaboration: Her speech emphasized the value of sharing knowledge and resources, and collaborating across sectors to achieve common goals.

3. Boundaries: She discussed the importance of setting healthy boundaries in relationships and professional settings, relating this to maintaining work-life balance and mental health.

4. Courage: The address highlighted the need for courage in facing challenges and pursuing one's goals, referencing Dr. Kondle's inspiring journey from a small village to becoming a pioneering physician and entrepreneur.

After talking to the doctors, Dr Kondle and his wife also spoke to all the nurses (ANM, GNM, BSC), paramedical staff, and people with bachelor's degrees. He predicted a very bright future for them. The nursing degrees from India will not only provide care in India but also in other continents.

After the speeches, an engaging Q&A session ensued. Students and faculty members had the opportunity to interact directly with Dr. Kondle, his wife, Chairman Dr. R Yakaiah, and the Dean. This session allowed for a deeper exploration of the topics discussed and provided valuable insights into the medical profession and nation-building.

The day's events also included various competitions that had been held in the lead-up to Independence Day:

The celebration concluded with a prize distribution ceremony. Dr. Venu Madhav Kondle, his wife, and other dignitaries presented awards to the winners of these competitions, recognizing their creativity, talent, and patriotic spirit.
