World Breastfeeding Week

RVMIMS & RC celebrated world breast feeding week this year grandly by conducting various activities involving Doctors,Medical Students,Nurses ,Lactating Mothers,Antenatal Mothers and by emphasising importance of breast milk and tried to closing the gap which is theme for 2024 World breastfeeding week.
World alliance for breastfeeding action (WABA) , Indian Academy of Pediatrics , IAP ki baath community ke Saath ,Pediatric Academy of Telangana state has been working successfully for closing the gap and for the implementation of breastfeeding.
RVMIMS & RC successfully conducted various programmes under the guidance of Chairman Dr.Rajaboina Yakaiah garu on 5 th August 2024 we welcomed NMC member Dr.Santosh Kumar Kraleti at our college ,an expert and founder of Dhatri chain of mother's milk ,comprehensive lactation management centre and associate Dean at school of health care RISHIHOOD University and NHRC member and who is also a visionary leader ,policy maker ,trying to improve health care accessibility and quality.
Other guests present were Mrs. Pardip Grewal who is a chair of London ophthalmology network and Senior manager in ophthalmology in NHS ,UK who has vast experience in implementing new treatments and service redesign in health care.
Mrs Meena Harminder Midha who is child developmental profession, works in the field of learning disabilities with NHS,UK raised the occasion and loaded RVMIMS efforts to bring affordable health care and spoke about importance of breast milk and visited our NICU and other breast feeding areas and interacted with other doctors and trainees.
Dean , Medical Superintendent ,Vice Principal ,Department Heads of Pediatrics ,Obg , SPM and professors,pgs ,undergraduate students participated in the programme.we had Rangoli , Color painting contest , poster release , reciting poem were conducted and prizes were given after a thorough interaction by Dr.Santosh Kumar Kraleti with medical students .Chairman sir briefed about vision ,mission of RVMIMS and gave a tour of hospital facilities,services provided at RVMIMS &RC which were loaded by guests.
