Inpatient Ward admission

Gynaecology: Acute PID, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, puberty menorrhagia, etc.

Antenatal (high risk pregnancy)

  • PIH (Pregnancy Induced Hypertension)
  • GDM (Gestational Diabetes Mellitus)
  • Aneemia
  • Rheumatic heart disease
  • IUGR with oligo hydramnios
  • Twin Pregnancy
  • Pregnancy with medical disorder (CRF, connective tissue disease, jaundice)
  • Hyperemesis gravidarum
  • Threatened abortion

Pre Labour Room:

  • Preterm labour
  • False labour
  • Antepartum hemorrhage
  • PPROM (Preterm Premature Rupture of Membranes)
  • 1st stage Labour

Eclampsia Room:

  • Severe PIH patients
  • Eclampsia patients

Post partum Room:

  • Post natal cases

Septic Labour Room:

  • Infective patients with labour (hepatitis B, HIV etc)
  • Post natal infections (puerperal sepsis)

Operative Procedures

Labour Room:

  • Normal vaginal delivery with or without episiotomy
  • Operative vaginal delivery

Minor OT:

  • D & C
  • Cervical polypectomy
  • Endometrial aspiration
  • Cervix biopsy
  • Bartholin cyst marsupilisation
  • Imperforate hymen excision

Major OT Procedures (maternity):

  • Cesarean section
  • Cervical cerclage

  • Lapratomy for ectopic pregnancy

Gynaecology:

  • Total abdominal hysterectomy
  • Vaginal hysterectomy with pelvic floor repair
  • Fothergill operation
  • Salpingo oophorectomy (ovarian cysts, hydrosalpinx, pid etc)
  • Complete perineal tear repair
  • Vesico vaginal fistula, recto vaginal fistula repair
  • Abdominal myomectomy
  • Recanalaisation
  • Bursch colposuspension
  • Mc Indoe's vagino plastry
  • Tubo plastry
  • Laparotomy and proceed for ovarian tumor, endometrial carcinoma

Operation Theatre Unit

There is 1 major O.T and 1 minor O.T. They are fully equipped and air conditioned with standard OT tables, Central online oxygen, N2O, vacuum and air supply. In addition electric suction units and multi parameter monitors, Pedestal side lights, diathermy units, Boyles anesthesia equipment and standard surgical instruments in packs for hysterectomy, caesarian section and other common surgical procedures - are available.
